The Book of The Book of The Week

Emily North’s artist’s residency at Reference Point will culminate in a book of around 100 drawings, some of which are featured below. All of these drawings were created using only graphite pencils on A4 paper and consider the book as object, capturing the creases and textures of the items, whether they are damaged or wrapped in cellophane etc. rather than simply reproducing the design of the cover. These are available as prints and upon the publication of the book the originals will also be for sale. Commissions for drawings of other book or album covers in the same style are available.
